Dailihood Privacy Policy
Your habit data stays on your own device by default. We don't collect it, and we can't reach it.
Dailihood is a habit tracker. In one sentence: your habit data stays on your own device by default. We don't collect it, and we can't reach it.
1. Core promise
Dailihood is designed local-first: data lands on your device, then syncs on demand.
- No account system — we cannot tell "who you are".
- We operate no server that stores your habit data.
- No third-party analytics, advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs.
- Apart from Apple system services (see section 4 and section 7), the app talks to no other third-party server.
- iCloud sync and the privacy lock are entirely your choice in Settings.
2. What we don't collect
- Your habit names, icons, frequencies and theme color settings;
- Your check-in records, streaks and backfill history;
- Your device identifiers, location, contacts or photos;
- Usage analytics or crash statistics (no analytics SDK is integrated).
The above never leaves your device, unless you turn on iCloud sync — and even then, data only enters your own private Apple iCloud space.
3. Data stored on your device
The app uses SwiftData to store the following locally, to provide its features:
- Habits: name, type (positive / negative), icon, color, frequency and reminder settings;
- Check-ins: each habit's daily status and timestamps;
- Preferences: theme color, appearance, privacy lock, sync frequency — stored in the local app group container.
This data lives on your device and can be deleted in the app at any time; deleting a habit deletes its check-ins too.
4. iCloud sync and CloudKit
After you enable sync in Settings → iCloud:
- The app syncs habits and check-ins between your devices through the Apple CloudKit private database, container
iCloud.com.akingpeace.Habit; - Data in the private database is accessible only to you: it is tied to your Apple account, and we cannot read it;
- Sync is incremental, triggered manually or at your chosen frequency; only changes are synced, entirely on a background queue; conflicts resolve by timestamp, newest wins;
- Turning sync off or signing out of your Apple account stops new writes; data already synced to iCloud is handled by Apple under its policies and can be managed in system settings.
5. Device permissions and their uses
- Notifications: only for the local habit reminders you set. Reminders are scheduled on-device (UserNotifications) and pass through no push server; disable anytime in Settings → Notifications.
- Face ID / Touch ID: only when you enable the privacy lock, for on-device identity verification before entering the app. Verification happens inside the system; the app never touches or stores your biometrics.
The app requests no location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store:
- Payments are completed by Apple; we never touch your payment information;
- Cancel or change subscriptions in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; refunds and billing questions go through reportaproblem.apple.com;
- Purchase status (whether you are Pro) is verified on-device by StoreKit, used to unlock trend insights and the privacy lock.
7. Third-party services
The app only uses Apple system frameworks: CloudKit (private sync), StoreKit (in-app purchases), UserNotifications (local reminders) and SwiftData (local storage). These services are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy.
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or behavioral tracking SDK, and shares no data with ad networks.
8. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since we collect no data, there is no collection, storage or sharing of children's data.
9. Your rights
- Access and export: your data is on your devices and in your private iCloud space — viewable in the app at any time;
- Deletion: delete habits and check-ins in the app; removing the app removes local data;
- Stop syncing: turn sync off in Settings → iCloud to stop writing new data to iCloud.
10. Data security
Local data lives in the app's sandbox container, inaccessible to other apps; with the privacy lock on, entering the app requires Face ID / Touch ID or your device passcode. iCloud transfer and storage are encrypted by Apple. Please safeguard your device and Apple account — they are the first door to your data.
11. Policy changes
If this policy changes materially (for example, sync methods or permission uses), we will announce it in the app's release notes and on this page, and update the "Effective" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
